there's no time!

May. 7th, 2008 | 07:12 pm

I've been pretty busy lately, but still been doing things here and there.

I'm not really up to date on March Comes in like a Lion... if it so happens that raws aren't
available online anymore I'll look into purchasing the tanks later to scan. There's no way
I'm getting I'm getting Young Animal shipped to me, I don't read anything else in it.

I took interest in Hachi One Diver, a drama based off a Shogi Manga.
It was alright, but I was too busy filling my desktop with episodes of Kimi Hannin Janai
Yo Ne? Because I can't not watch "crime of the week" shows. Even though it's kind of
boring me to tears. :(

I've seen a bunch of other dramas in my little spare time, and I guess there's nothing I'm too
interested in right now; but I liked the theme song of Osen so much I listened to it like 8 times
today at work. It's Micro from Def Tech (they broke up, it only seemed like yesterday when Catch and
Wave movie and Brother Beat was on TV). The song is called Odore, meaning I guess well, dance.
I guess you could dance to it but I don't know how, it almost feels like 4 songs in one; Micro really
has quite a vocal range.

Oh and finally I'm going to vent out that I don't like the opening and ending of Naruto Shippuuden
right now. I don't watch it all the time...I come and go from it because it's slow. But right now I'm iffy about
the songs. I really like to hear the alternative or rock choices and get excited to see the new featured openings
and endings but this is going down as probably my most hated opening. Sorry  ^^;;

It's a dark day

Apr. 14th, 2008 | 11:22 am

Just to remind all single people that April 14th is Black Day,
which is like a day for singles to commiserate while eating
JaJangMyeon/JJaJangMyun/etc. Or valiantly embrace their
singledom; whichever side of the coin you fall on I guess. ^^;

Another reason why it's a dark day: Today is the last episode
of Skins season 2. A quite, uh, edgy show from across the
ocean, and tonights episode will have a funeral or perhaps 2.
Good thing I only got into this show on Friday so I've been
able to absorb all the ups and downs in a rather timely manner.

Finally, tommorow is tax day. If you don't get it done RIGHT NOW
you're going to be having a whole dark week (or night, staying
up and doing it online. Get it done! NOW!)

working hard every night and day

Apr. 11th, 2008 | 04:41 pm

Right now I can hear about 2 Ambulances and a fire truck. It seems to be
that whenever the temperature gets nicer around here, the more accident prone
people become. Other sounds today are the jingling of dog leashes, birds
singing all-day-long...like 5 am (not cool, birds), an ice cream truck, and sporadic lawn
mowers as people tend to the first mow of the season. (I'm lazy and refuse to start
until next week)

I've been busy at work, but it seems some days there's a ton to do and then
almost nothing the next day. I keep snatching work before anyone else
gets to it so I'm not bored. They hired some new guy who did the whole
hand shake everyone/thing deal. Young girls never seem to handshake.
Or at least, I don't. Or I get out of doing it somehow.

For all it's worth I really hate handshakes. If I was a total nutcase I'd raise my
hand ever so slowly into the air and demand a high five just to see the response.
I just complain because I can't deal with it well at all. There's an art to it and all
and this is how I fail:

1) I will, if I can, wipe any/all surfaces before a handshake
2) I'm always looking at someones hand/the floor when I handshake.

Number 2 is one of those
. . . moments as the handshaker(them)
realizes the handshakee(me) hasn't dropped something on the floor
at all. I just needed to fully make sure hands were put together and
didn't miss target or something. By that time the handshake has
gone on too long; they pull back and my head slowly raises for the
awkward stare after and ridiculously fake planted smile to occur.

....I will be a joy to work with, really. (sigh) ^^;;

I've been stressed out recently and tend to rage out at times but
I always seem to work in many hours of sleep. At my age people
are usually out getting drunk, doing overtime at work or uh..
generally doing stupid things. But I <3 naps.

On another note, while doing some freelance I noticed a contest
for a poster design for some chocolate festival of some sort. I am
notorious for always getting second place in contests. I'd be all
smug and enter something for fine art students because I sit at a
computer all day and do coding and color correcting and stupid junk
and then I'd be all angry when I placed second even though I shouldn't
be entering in the first place. Anyways.. It's not even about the money
either, because the last second place I got gave me like $250 and
I was still like "HOW DARE SOMEONE TOP MY ENTRY" and stuff.

But lets not lie.
I don't lose all the contests, I often win the ones I don't want
to win at all. I'd be like "Yeah this is totally gonna get some laughs, it's
so horrib-WHAT THEY PICKED THAT CRAP? I CAN'T PUT MY NAME
ON THAT IT'S HORRIBLE!!!" Then I get all angry because I can barely
change the design and it's out there. Another one of those It's out
there.. and will never change. Ever... Ever... EVER.
^^;;

By the way since it's chocolate I should go out and get some
samples for like "references" you know. Yeah... sure..  XD

Mar. 26th, 2008 | 02:20 am

The other day I was very tired and tried to log onto this livejournal
account and then noticed I had actually logged onto an account I
had in 2004 and remembered the password for. ^^;;;

So there I was just looking at this really old account from 2004,
a piece of history, my history, stuck in internet time.

It's kind of weird to think even when you're gone it will still be there.
(for the most part)

In a flush of rage I got angry and started to write a post about the
differences between in-house design and working for a design firm.
Then it got deleted. XD But I'm sure no one cares XD
I just hate the
"Where do you see yourself in our company/
What can you do for our company"
question.

Ai, I got your beautiful card today!~ It's so cute and making me
excited for spring. Even the stamp is beautiful! I really <3 it!

3 gatsu is back

Feb. 18th, 2008 | 08:25 pm

There's a new mini website for March comes in like a Lion with a flash Rei walking at the bottom.
http://www.younganimal.com/3lion/index.html

It's kind of creepy. :o

At the same time it's also amusing. For a little while, I collected images from the comic
and colorized them much like Rei and was working on a mini flash video. But then
I got super lazy and other things came up.  Here's a still from it:

Maybe one day I'll finish it.

Looking through Furoku I had stashed away in a corner,
I noticed one Valentines themed booklet.
Here it is, untranslated because I'm far too lazy.
The pictures help.

sellsellsell <3

Jan. 31st, 2008 | 08:10 pm

I have a lot of Furoku from Ribon, and I have to let it go.

I hope to find some good homes for all of it soon. Ah, I hope someone wants a crapload of old Tanemura Arina stuff, and.. whatever was going on those years. Lots of kids probably just take those furoku and, you know....use 'em. I instead kind of put them into the corner of my room and just let them sit there. The idea of actually selling some stuff breaks my heart, but I am sure they will get good homes, even the like.. straws.... and... 8 million bags that I have. A post to sell will be coming soon. <3

The Tail of the Green Rabbit.

Jan. 21st, 2008 | 07:59 pm

My sister kind of hates art. She hates everything crafty, yet has literally no hobby what-so-ever. I'm not sure aside from sleeping and working to what she even likes. I guess watching TV and being humble is her cup of tea.

Anyways, this doesn't stop her from berating me about art related things whenever possible.

figure A. The rabbit.

The rabbit was a ceramic figure waiting for a home, lying in the deep trenches of my basement.
I wouldn't say it's quite vintage yet, and since it had no paint job I decided to give it a poppy green for a fresh modern look. He can't hold a plant or be a plate but if he was bright enough he could get a nice home on a
bookshelf somewhere. My sister wasn't too pleased.

"It's ugly. Who wants that now? It's ugly."

Fine. It's ugly. But when's the last time she redecorated? Never.

Dear rabbit, please find a loving home to brighten up. Far, far away from the wrath that is my sister.

I have next to no debt. I have a college degree, I'm an adult but it's a boring life.

I could move anywhere tommorow if I wanted to, but I'm not sure where I would want to go.
Or why I would want to go. But if I had to have an excuse,  it would be because
the wind is way too cold today.

here, there, everywhere..

Jan. 16th, 2008 | 05:05 pm

At times, I feel very sluggish because of the winter weather.

For christmas, I saved up a lot of money to buy my sister this mood
enhancing light for "seasonal affect disorder", which I'm not sure if I believe
is a real problem in the first place.

But now I harbor the idea of stealing it - if it really works.

If I could, I'd use the energy to start exercising again. I don't get the
fascination with starting a fitness program with the begining of a
New Year. Why do you need a certain date to decide something?

Ah yes, if only I had that lamp. That's what is holding me back........
